Hi there! I’m Bethany, a Boston based food photographer and a recipe developer, I’m SO glad you’ve come to my site 🙂
I’ve always had a passion for baking and developing recipes since I was young. Baking and steak seasonings were my jam…yes you read that correctly, steak seasonings…doesn’t every 12 year old dream of having their own spice line? I blame too much of watching Emeril Lagasse.
It wasn’t until Covid hit and life slowed to an uneasy hault that I realized how much I missed cooking and baking. Pre-pandemic I was traveling 80% of the time for my job and didn’t have time for hobbies, once the travel stopped I realized how much I was missing a creative outlet. I work in consulting which as you can imagine, leaves limited space for creativity, but damn can I build a nice PowerPoint slide.
The Start of The Happy Grazer and My Food Photography Journey
I started thinking about building a Charcuterie/Grazing Board side gig, que “The Happy Grazer”, and started an Instagram page, purchased the website name, and off I was. However, I got over that real quick so it was back to the drawing board. I came across the infamous Foodtography School site, took a free training, and was instantly hooked! A few weeks later and I landed my first brand collaboration.
